  • Ordinary pay rate of $55.77ph (including casual loading).

Our client located in West Melbourne is an independent operator of bulk liquid and gas storage. The site distributes petrol chemical products.

Successful applicants must be available Monday to Friday and must be physically fit as the position involves employees to be on their feet for the majority of the shift including, handling, connecting, disconnecting hoses and bolting up flanges etc.

About your new role / Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a variety of duties involved in unloading chemicals from ships to tanks to tanker trucks.
  • Could also be from fire watch, to attaching hoses to monitoring liquid flow.
  • Assist in road tanker operations - handling, connecting, disconnecting hoses.
  • Equipment set up.
  • Operating mobile equipment.
  • Working at heights.
  • Computer work - data entry.
  • Manual handling.
  • Working in extreme temperatures - heat / cold.
  • Complete daily paper work and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Forklift license (LF) desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Need to have mechanical aptitude and be capable of completing online training upon commencement.
  • Must complete a full pre employment medical before commencement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Physically fit.
  • Prior experience would be desirable.
  • Available Monday - Friday.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
